Dear DMS Families,
The first week of May is National Teacher Appreciation Week!
We are grateful for the DMS staff as they’ve nurtured a love for learning and curiosity while providing a classroom environment where our children thrive. We are always thankful for the work of our teachers, and want to acknowledge the particular challenges that accompany teaching throughout a pandemic.
Prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic, parents were offered an opportunity to donate money to be used for a Teacher Appreciation dinner. With varying comfort levels related to gathering, there will not be a dinner event again this year. However, we do want to make Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6) as special as possible for the DMS staff. Please consider participating in the activities below and help us show our teachers how grateful we are for them!
Gift Card Shower
We are asking for gift card donations for a “gift card shower” so that all staff members can feel appreciated. All contributing families will be acknowledged in a card given with the gift cards. Please visit the link below to sign-up for specific gift card donations.
Thank You Notes
Another way to show appreciation towards our staff is a hand written note of thanks. Time and again, the staff tells us how much it means to them to have these notes of appreciation. This is a chance for you to let them know how much they mean to you and your child. We have provide two thank you cards in your child’s mailbag for your use, but feel free to write as many as you like. We have included the staff roster to the below.
Please return the envelope with thank you cards and gift card donations by April 29th.
